These Terms and Conditions govern your access to and use of our Site, account registration, and participation in all OAC-sanctioned athletic events and tournaments.
By accessing our Site or registering a participant for any OAC event, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions and our Privacy Policy.
1. Account Creation & Authority
- Parental / Guardian Authorization: Participants under the age of 18 must be registered by a parent or legal guardian. By creating an account and registering an athlete, you represent that you are at least 18 years old and possess the legal authority to enter into this agreement on behalf of yourself and the registered participant.
- Accurate Information: You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration (including athlete age, grade level, weight, and tournament experience) and to update such information to keep it accurate.
2. Event Eligibility & Compliance
- Division Criteria: Participants must meet the age, grade, weight class, and experience requirements (e.g., Novice vs. Point Series vs. Open) specified for each event.
- Rule Compliance: All participants, coaches, and spectators must adhere to OAC event rules, official weigh-in protocols, and sportsmanship standards. OAC reserves the right to disqualify or remove any individual who violates these rules without a refund.
3. Intellectual Property & Media Release
- All site branding, logos, graphics, event schedules, and tournament software are the property of OAC or its licensors.
- Media & Event Photography: By registering for or attending an OAC tournament, you grant OAC permission to capture, reproduce, and publish photographs, video recordings, and live streams of participants for promotional, archival, and event coverage purposes.
4. Limitation of Liability & Assumption of Risk
- Athletic events and combat sports (including wrestling) carry inherent risks of physical injury. By enrolling a participant, you voluntarily assume all risks associated with participation in OAC events.
- To the fullest extent permitted by law, OAC, its directors, officers, employees, referees, event hosts, and volunteers shall not be liable for any personal injury, property loss, or indirect damages resulting from your use of the Site or participation in any OAC event.
5. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Ohio, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
