The Erie County Community Foundation in conjunction with the Ohio Athletic Committee is pleased to announce the 2022 OAC Scholarship winners with each receiving a $1,000.00 scholarship. This year’s winners are Kaden Miller, Caleb Kaiser, Aiden Naseman, and Torri Keyser. Also included are the two OAC Football Scholarship winners, Cameron Smith and Keegan Smith with each receiving a $500.00 scholarship.
1) Kaden Miller of Marengo, Ohio is a senior at Highland High School is a recipient of the OAC Wrestling Scholarship. He has a GPA of 4.00, is a member of the National Honor Society, and is a four-year member and captain of Highland’s wrestling team. He is undecided on a college but is planning to major in Engineering.
2) Caleb Kaiser of Versailles, Ohio is a senior at Versailles High School and is a recipient of the OAC Wrestling Scholarship. He has a GPA of 4.00, is a member of the National Honor Society, and is a four-year member of Versailles football and wrestling teams of which he was captain. Caleb is undecided on a college but is planning to major in Civil Engineering.
3) Aiden Naseman of Norwalk, Ohio is a senior at Norwalk St. Paul High School and is a recipient of the OAC Wrestling Scholarship. He has a GPA of 4.00, is a member of the National Honor Society and is a four-year member of St. Paul High School’s wrestling and football teams of which he was captain. He is undecided on a college bit is planning to major in Mechanical Engineering.
4) Torri Keyser of Milan, Ohio is a senior at Edison High School and is a recipient of the OAC Cheerleader Scholarship. She has a GPA of 4.00, is a member of National Honor Society, and is a member of Student Council. Torri is a four-year member of Edison’s cheerleading team, tennis team, and track and field team. She is planning to attend the University of Cincinnati and major in Biomedical Engineering.
5) Cameron Smith of Huron, Ohio is a senior at Edison High School and is a recipient of the OAC Football Scholarship. He has a GPA of 4.00, is a member of the National Honor Society, and is a four-year member of Edison’s football and baseball team. He is undecided on a college but is planning to major in Electronics and Computer Engineering Technology.
6) Keegan Smith of Huron, Ohio is a senior at Edison High School and is a recipient of the OAC Football Scholarship. He has a GPA of 4.00, is a member of the National Honor Society, and a four-year member Edison’s football, basketball, and baseball teams. He is undecided on a college but is planning to major in Nursing.
With all the excellent applications received, selecting only six was extremely difficult and the committee is extremely proud of the six scholarship winners. We hope that the OAC Scholarship becomes even more known throughout the State of Ohio and that top notch student athletes will continue to be assisted in their educational endeavors.
