Novice (Beginner) Tournaments are tournaments that only wrestlers with 3 or less years’ experience (no state experience) may compete. They are designed to match up wrestlers with similar experience and skill level. Some Novice tournaments take place during Sectional Tournaments while other Novice Tournaments may be held during a youth tournament. There is a computer point system for Novice wrestlers that compete in OAC Novice Tournaments and is separate but similar to the computer point system for wrestlers who compete in an OAC Sectional. Computer points will be earned in weight classes contested. Points will not be earned if matches are not wrestled in a weight class.
You must pre-register online for the Novice tournaments to have your computer points recorded. You do not need to log on after the tournament to update your points, they will be automatically updated.
Online Registration will close the day before the tournament. Make sure to register before the deadline to earn computer points.
