The Erie County Community Foundation in conjunction with the Ohio Athletic Committee is pleased to announce the 2021 OAC Scholarship winners with each receiving a $1,000.00 scholarship. This year’s winners are Cael Vanderhorst, Bryce Schott, Zack Mattin, and Danny Keenan.
Cael Vanderhorst of Covington, Ohio is a senior at Covington High School is a recipient of the OAC Football Scholarship. He has a GPA of 4.00 and is a member of the National Honor Society and Student Council. Cael is a four-year member and captain of Covington’s wrestling and football teams. He is undecided on a college but is planning to major in mechanical engineering.
Bryce Schott of Fredericktown, Ohio is a senior at Highland High School and is a recipient of the OAC Wrestling Scholarship. He has a GPA of 3.95, is a member of the National Honor Society, and is a four-year member of Highland’s wrestling team. Bryce is undecided on a college but is planning to major in engineering.
Zack Mattin of Delta, Ohio is a senior at Pike-Delta-York High School and is a recipient of the OAC Wrestling Scholarship. He has a GPA of 4.00, is a member of the National Honor Society, and is Senior Class President. Zack is a four-year member and captain of Pike-Delta-York High School’s wrestling and golf teams. He is planning to attend the University of Michigan and major in pre-medicine.
Danny Keenan of Westlake, Ohio is a senior at Westlake High School and is a recipient of the OAC Wrestling Scholarship. He has a GPA of 3.93 and is a member of the National Honor Society and Academic Challenge Team. Danny is a four-year member and captain of Westlake’s wrestling team. He is undecided on a college but is planning to major in architecture.
